All parking lots on campus are for the use of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Visitor parking is available in front of the Patterson Building within the traffic circle. Students and employees will be ticketed if they park in this area. Parking is not permitted on the grass, along the roadside, or in the medians.
Handicapped parking is designated and should be used by persons who display a North Carolina State Division of Motor Vehicles tag for the disabled or a temporary handicap college permit. The Albemarle City Police are authorized to issue tickets on campus. The fine for a handicap parking violation is $5 or vehicle can be towed at violater's expense.. Students who are temporarily disabled or physically challenged and who require a special handicapped parking permit should see the Dean of Students. Permits are assigned on a temporary basis.
The speed limit in campus parking lot areas is not to exceed five miles per hour. The speed limit on College Drive is 20 miles per hour.
Firearms are not allowed on college property meaning it is illegal to have them in your vehicle or on your person while on campus.
The College does not guarantee the safety of parked vehicles or their contents and is not responsible for the loss of or damage to any parked automobile or its contents. We continuously watch for suspicious activities and persons; however, we cannot always be certain our personnel will observe all activity.
If your car will not start, please contact Deputy Mason in the Webb Student Center or the Student Development Office on the first floor of the Patterson Building.
