Congressman Richard Hudson to Speak at SCC

hudson(March 14, 2013) The Stanly Community College Foundation Artist Lecture Series is kicking off 2013 by hosting U.S. Representative Richard Hudson on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.  This event is free and open to the public with limited seating available.

Congressman Hudson was elected in November 2012 to represent North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District. His focus in Congress is based on bipartisan solutions for creating jobs, cutting spending, and keeping our homeland secure.

Hudson serves on the House Agriculture Committee, the Education and Workforce Committee, and the Homeland Security Committee.  He works to grow the economy, empower the workforce, and reform education while protecting the American people and our nation’s borders.

A Concord resident, Hudson has served on the Rowan Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees, among many other local associations and extensive public service experience.

Please plan to attend this free event as Congressman Hudson shares his personal educational journey as well as presenting a Legislative update. This event will be held in the Dennis Auditorium of the Kelley Building, on the Albemarle campus of SCC.
