Cosmetology Students Complete Curriculum Training

2013 Cosmetology Graduates(October 11, 2013) Students in the Cosmetology curriculum program at Stanly Community College (SCC) recently completed their training and 1,500 cosmetology contact hours. Course work includes instruction in all phases of professional imaging, hair design, chemical processes, skin care, nail care, multicultural practices, business/computer principles, product knowledge, and other selected topics.

Graduates are now able to take the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination. Upon successfully passing the State Board exam, graduates will be issued a license. Employment is available in beauty salons and related businesses.

The SCC Cosmetology Department offers instruction to both men and women in all phases of cosmetology. Other programs offered include: Esthetics Technology Certificate and Manicurist/Nail Technician training.

The Cosmetology Department offers a variety of services to the public at very reasonable prices. All work is performed by students under the supervision of instructors.
