SCC Hosts Webb Scholar Luncheon

Webb Scholars(May 7, 2014) Stanly Community College (SCC) recently held the annual Webb Scholars luncheon to honor the scholarship recipients. The Webb Scholarship Program is funded by the Crutchfield Family Foundation and is named in honor of Dr. H. T. “Toby” Webb, Jr., who served on the Board of Trustees for the college for many years. This scholarship program provides 25 annual scholarships to male students enrolled in the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Applied Science degree programs.

Ms. Robin McCree, Executive Vice President of Educational Services, welcomed everyone to the luncheon and expressed her gratitude for the Crutchfield Family Foundation and the scholarship program. Ms. Melody Braswell, Financial Aid Liaison, gave a presentation pertaining to resumes and cover letters for the scholars. After the presentation, graduating scholars were recognized for their accomplishments. The scholars then spent some time networking with their mentors before the meeting was adjourned.
