SCC Welcomes New Foundation Executive Director Christy Bogle

Christy Bogle(April 16, 2014) Dr. Brenda Kays, President of Stanly Community College, announced the hiring of Christy Bogle as the Executive Director of the SCC Foundation effective March 31, 2014. Ms. Bogle comes to SCC from the Stanly County United Way, where she served as Executive Director for the last four years. “Christy brings to the position a wealth of experience through her tenure at the United Way, a sterling reputation in the community, and she is highly recognized for her ability to build friendships and foster partnerships,” noted Dr. Kays. “We are extremely lucky to have Christy as part of the SCC team and I look forward to working closely with her in order to move our Foundation and our College to that proverbial next level.”

Ms. Bogle is a native of Stanly County. She grew up in the Aquadale community and still calls it home today with her husband of 24 years and their three children. She is proud to proclaim herself a SCC graduate, earning a degree in Human Services Technology. Before joining the United Way, Ms. Bogle worked for Stanly County Schools at Aquadale Elementary School as a Data Manager.

“I am extremely happy and pleased to be part of Stanly Community College. I have had the greatest admiration for this institution and all they do in our community,” stated Bogle. “Now to be part of helping SCC grow and help further people’s lives is truly rewarding.”

Stanly Community College’s Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in April 1978 by SCC Trustees. Its mission is to receive gifts, bequests and donations, which benefit the various educational programs of Stanly Community College.
