CAA Alumni Wins State Rookie Contest

2014 State Rookie(July 1, 2014) Carolina Auction Academy (CAA) graduates and instructors were well represented at the Auctioneer Association of North Carolina (AANC) conference on June 20-21, held in Charlotte, NC.

CAA Alumni Andrew Weber won this year’s state rookie contest. To be eligible for the contest you must have had your auctioneer license for less than two years. CAA was pleased to have three graduates in the competition, more than any other school.

CAA instructors, Becky Tarlton and Ivan Broadwell were presenters at the conference. Six of the CAA instructors attended and were involved in various roles and events at the conference. The main seminar presenters were Spanky Assister, lead auctioneer for Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auctions in Arizona, and his wife Amy. Spanky provided some great insight in his session called, Change in Order to Grow. Participants travelled from four different states to attend this year’s conference. The Carolina Auction Academy’s next class begins on August 21, 2014. For more information, please visit the Carolina Auction Academy.
