Introduction to Digital Photography
Pre-requisites: None.
Class Meetings: There will be eight class meetings and the classes’ meet three hours each class for a total of 24 hours. Instructor may take class on field trips.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Compare Digital cameras to film cameras
- Research digital cameras
- Use the instruction manual
- Work with storage media
- Be introduced to shooting modes and scene assist modes
- Learn about exposure
- Compress image files
- Be introduced to color balance
- Print digital photos
- Choose a digital SLR

Grading: Students will receive an “S” Satisfactory if they attend 80% of the total course hours and meet course requirements as established by instructor or a “U” Unsatisfactory if are absent in excess of 20% of total course hours or fail to meet course requirements as established by instructor.
