Programmable Logic Controllers
This course will cover the programming, operation, maintenance, and repair of Programmable Logic Controllers. topics include relay ladder programming, central processor unit, input and output modules, power supplies, programming devices and software, memory organization, numberings systems, and industry applications. Upon completion, students should be able to identify, configure, program, operate, analyze, maintain, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller systems using appropriate techniques and test equipment. Safety will be strongly emphasized and practiced at all times. The following guidelines will be strictly enforced: a) Working on live circuits is not permitted
b) Testing of live circuits must be approved and supervised by a qualified instructor c) Use of test equipment or power tools will not be performed unless a qualified instructor is present. Text Book Required.
