Anatomy & Physiology for Coders

This online course is designed to introduce basic anatomy and physiology concepts as part of the Stanly Community College Healthcare Coding Certificate Program. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between body structure and function and the procedures common to health care. Upon completion, students should be able to identify body system components and functions and use this knowledge in an insurance coding and reimbursement career.

This course is not designed for EMT-Paramedic students and does not fulfill a science credit for any Stanly Community College associate degree program.

  • Class is only offered in an online format

  • Driver’s license or state ID
