Medical Billing & Coding - Hybrid


This course is offered for health care professionals and others interested in insurance coding and is one of four courses in the Stanly Community College Healthcare Coding Certificate Program (HCCP). All students are encouraged to complete all four courses in the HCCP. However, current insurance reimbursement and medical coding professionals seeking certification are allowed to complete this course alone in preparation for national certification.

This hybrid class (a blend of seated and online instruction) is 165 hours in length. Approximately 2/3 of the course instruction is online via Moodle. The remaining material is covered in a traditional classroom setting. Students must have successfully completed an approved medical terminology course before class begins.

  • Successful completion of an approved medical terminology course or equivalent
