Medical Terminology
This 96-hour course introduces students to terminology used in the language of medicine and is helpful to any student going into the medical field. Games, exercises, and easy reading will help you learn medical terms by word parts and their usage in all body systems as well as how to pronounce them.
You have the option to take this class online or in the seated class format. The choice is up to you!
This class fulfills the Medical Terminology prerequisite for Medical Transcription and Medical Billing and Coding.
Registration is on a first-come, first serve basis, and can be completed online, by phone, or in person.
Additional Information
- Textbook is required and will be available at the SCC Bookstore during semesters when this course is offered
- This class is one of four classes in the SCC Healthcare Billing and Coding Certificate Program
Requirements (Successful registrants must bring these items to the first day of class.)
- High school diploma, GED, or dual enrollment form
- Driver’s License or state ID
