Medical Terminology

This 96-hour course introduces students to terminology used in the language of medicine and is helpful to any student interested in the medical field.

Although this course was established as part of the Stanly Community College (SCC) Healthcare Coding Certificate Program, anyone with a high school diploma or GED is welcomed to take the course.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and can be completed online or in person.

  • Text is required and will be available in the SCC Bookstore during semesters when the class is offered
  • This course is only offered in the online format
  • This class is one of four classes in the SCC Healthcare Billing and Coding Certificate Program
