Nurse Aide Level I - Hybrid
Upon completion of this program, students will be qualified to apply for and take the NNAAP State Exam for Nurse Aide Level One (NA-I). Students must obtain a passing grade on this state exam to be listed on the NC NA-I Registry.
Students wanting to register for this course need to complete the SCC TABE reading test and obtain an 11th grade reading level OR have taken the nursing program TEAS test prior to the first day of class. Once registered for this course, students will receive an introduction packet in the mail which will include information regarding immunizations, criminal background checks and all other aspects and requirements of the program. The student must provide proof of a US HS diploma or GED, reading test results or TEAS test results, driver’s license, social security card, money order for criminal background check, and immunizations on or before the first Saturday lab day.
This course is required as a pre-requisite for the SCC Associate Degree in Nursing Program.Other costs associated with this course are: uniforms, watch with a second hand, textbook and a criminal background check.
Requirements:
• US HS Diploma or GED
• Proof of 11th grade reading level reading test results or nursing enrollment test results (TEAS)
• Current Driver’s License
• Signed Social Security Card
• Proof of up-to-date immunizations as required by clinical site
