This is a 24-hour course for the following individuals:

• Those who were listed as a Nurse Aide in North Carolina but have let their certification lapse

• Those who have a current or prior listing as a Nurse Aide in another state and wish to become listed on the NC NA I Registry

• Those who have successfully completed a state-approved NA I course but have not yet taken the State Exam.

This is an intensive review of knowledge and an update of basic nursing skills needed in the care of the elderly and the infirm. After successful completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and may then apply to take the NNAAP NA I State Exam at an additional cost of $101. Upon successful completion of this exam, the individual will be listed on the NC NA Registry.

Students must be present for all 24 hours.

Requirements:

• Current Driver’s License or State ID

• Signed Social Security card

• Proof of previous NA I listing (if applicable)
