Pharmacy Technician
Stanly Community College now offers a training program that will provide students entry level trade knowledge and technical skill(s) in the area of Pharmacy Technician.
This class is designed to prepare students for national certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Students will be trained for gainful employment as a pharmacy technician in various pharmacy settings. This course includes lecture, lab and clinical instruction, as well as national certification exam preparation.
This course is a single 108-hour course with 36 hours completed in a clinical setting. The remaining hours are in a traditional classroom setting.
Additional Information:
• Text is required and will be available in the SCC Bookstore
• Students will have to purchase a criminal background check and drug screen will be required after registration
• Up-to-date immunizations will be required after registration
Requirements:
• Driver’s license or state ID
• Proof of pre-requisite (see below)
