This class is designed to prepare students for national certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Students will be trained for gainful employment as a pharmacy technician in various pharmacy settings. This course includes lecture, lab and clinical instruction, as well as national certification exam preparation.

This course is a single 108-hour course with 39 hours of online instruction via Moodle, 33 hours of traditional, seated instruction, and 36 hours experiential instruction in a clinical setting.

Additional Information:

• Text is required and will be available in the SCC Bookstore during semesters when this course is offered

• Students will have to purchase a criminal background check and drug screen during the first week of class

• Up-to-date immunizations will be required during the first week of class

• Driver’s license or state ID

• Proof of pre-requisite (see below)
