Heavy Equipment Operations

Stanly Community College now offers a two-semester training program that will provide students entry level trade knowledge and technical skill(s) in the area of Heavy Equipment Operations.

Individuals who complete the program will be desirable employee candidates responding to the significant need for skilled workers in our region of North Carolina and across the U.S.

The Heavy Equipment Operations Program will involve approximately 675-contact hours, with planned subject modules that include:

Classroom instruction and practical application.
Accredited curriculum materials supplied from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).

CAT® Virtual Training Systems - Mobile and Classroom based Equipment Simulator stations, utilizing planned assignments and performance requirements.

Outdoor Heavy Equipment Lab - "hands on" Heavy Equipment basic operation skills, located at the SCC Albemarle Campus.
