Heavy Equipment Operations Program
This two-semester program is conducted on a 15-acre site at our Albemale Campus and includes the following courses:

Second Semester: • Earthmoving Procedures & Equipment • Heavy Equipment Operator Skills II • Interview Skills and Resumes |
Stanly Community College, in partnership with Carolina CAT of Charlotte, provides access to:
| • Bulldozers • Loaders • Backhoes • Scraper (Pan) • Compacting Roller |
• Tractors • Dumptrucks • Small Wheeled Loaders (Skidsteers) • Excavator (Trackhoe) • Equipment Loading and Tie Down |
This programs prepares individuals for the following certifications:
| • OSHA 10-Hour Training Card 10 Hour Safety • NCCER Construction & Equipment Basic Safety • NCCER Hand Tools, Power Tools & Rigging |
• NCCER Construction Math & Measurement • NCCER Heavy Equipment Operations L-1 • NCCER Heavy Equipment Operations L-2 |
Those entering this program must have reading and math skills at or above the 9th grade level or a bronze level Career Readiness Certification.
