Creating Success...Hope, Opportunities, Jobs
“I knew that a General Contractors License would provide me with opportunities to reach my goals.”
After taking classes at SCC, it didn’t take long for Chris Bower to obtain his N.C. General Contractors License. Chris, a Stanly County native from Norwood, graduated in 1998 from South Stanly High School. He started his career in auto detailing after landing a job at a Charlotte dealership, where he later was promoted to basic auto service technician.
Chris had a good job, but realized he wanted to do something different and found himself employed with a residential construction crew, remodeling homes on lakefront property. Within a short period of time, Chris realized he had a passion for construction management, and enrolled in the N.C. General Contracting and the Commercial Construction Codes classes at Stanly Community College.
“I knew that a General Contractors License would provide me with opportunities to reach my goals. Stanly Community College provides knowledgeable and experienced instructors, excellent course content, and offers a practical class schedule for working adults,” explained Chris.
