This guide is designed to introduce students to the library, which is located in the Learning Resources Center (LRC) at Stanly Community College. The library is open to all students, faculty, and staff for no additional fee.
This tutorial consists of a series of self-paced instructional modules designed to introduce you to important research concepts and guide you in the use of the library. You are welcome to browse through this tutorial in any order and refer to it whenever you need it.
Tutorial Sections
The tutorial includes five main sections:
Using the Library contains general information about the library, such as hours and borrowing policies.
Researching explains how to locate books and articles in the library and cite sources..
Resources provides links to community resources you may find helpful.
Help will tell you what to do if you need additional help.
Each section contains a number of subsections. While the sections are arranged in a logical progression, each section can stand on its own. It is not, therefore, necessary to follow them in sequence.
