Business Technologies—Entrepreneurship

en'tre·pre·neur'ship' n.

OK. You may not know how to spell it, but you absolutely can learn how to be great at it! Entrepreneurship is the American dream along with the knowledge, ability, and resources to run YOUR successful small business. Entrepreneurs dream and they dream the world for all of us. Whether you dream of freedom, or whether you dream of wealth, or even if you dream of changing the world, the Entrepreneurship Certificate is for you.

This is not a program in general business; it is a deep dive into the principles of entrepreneurship. From developing an idea, to refining the vision, to determining viability, to establishing the venture, to marshaling the forces, to proving the concept, to mezzanine financing, to growing the venture, to harvesting the business, each course in the series takes you deeper into the entrepreneurial act.

Our objectives are to instill entrepreneurial vision and entrepreneurial will: the ability to recognize and create opportunities and the self-confidence to capitalize on them. Our purpose is to help existing entrepreneurs to grow their ventures and to help prospective entrepreneurs avoid the mistakes which are so common in venture launches.

SCC Entrepreneur Certificate can help you meet these needs. By taking just five classes, you can turn your idea into a successful business. Come to Stanly Community College and let us help you ask the right questions and take your knowledge to fulfill your dream of owning your own small business.
