What do MLTs do?

MicroscopeOur Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program trains students to perform medical lab tests and procedures critical to the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of disease.

MLTs should possess the desire to be of service to others and must demonstrate the highest degree of integrity, confidentiality, honesty, and responsibility.

 

 

What's the job outlook?

Lab Technician

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, an MLT's mean average income is $48,500.

A variety of opportunities are available. Commerce that depends on MLTs include: laboratories in hospitals, medical offices, industry, and research facilities.
