	Elbert L. (Whit) Whitley, Jr. Albemarle, North Carolina Trustee Chair First appointed in 1977, Whit currently is the longest serving trustee as well as the trustee chair, a post he has held since 1983. He currently serves as an appointee of the Stanly County Board of Education. He is the retired owner of Albemarle Retread and is currently serving as mayor of the city of Albemarle..
	Dr. H. T. Webb, Jr. Albemarle, North Carolina Board Vice Chairman A retired superintendent of Albemarle City Schools, Dr. Webb was first appointed to the trustee Board in 1984. He currently serves as a Governor's appointment.
	Nadine Barbee Bowers New London, North Carolina Board Member Appointed by the Stanly County Commissioners in 2006, Nadine is retired from the Bank of Stanly.
	Lisa Burris Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member Appointed by the Governor in 1999, Lisa is retired Director of Development at Hospice of Stanly County.
	Dr. W. Davis Fort Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member Dr. Fort, a retired OB-GYN physician, is a Governor's appointment and has served on the Board since 2001.
	Banks Garrison Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member Currently serving as a Governor's appointee, Banks was first appointed to the Board of Trustees in 1998. He is President of South Central Oil Company.
	Thomas Hawkins Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member Tom was originally appointed by the Governor in 1990 for one term. He was again appointed by the Stanly County Commissioners in 1997. Tom is retired from the Chevrolet Division of General Motors.
	Jann Lowder Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member Jann was appointed to the Board by the Stanly County Board of Education in 2006. She is retired President and co-owner of TKG Transport, Inc.
	Shirley Lowder Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member A retired Stanly County schools employee, Shirley was appointed by the Stanly County Commissioners in December 2006. She was reappointed by the county commissioners in 2007 for a four-year term.
	James E. Nance Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member The Stanly County Commissioners appointed Jim in 2000. Jim is the retired president and dealer operator of Confederate Chevrolet.
	William R. Rigsbee Albemarle, North Carolina Board Member Appointed by the Stanly County Board of Education in 1996, Bill is a retired purchasing manager from Pass & Seymour, a national electrical and lighting products supplier.
