Another way to see clearer computer display

There was such an outpouring of response to a prior tip for better viewing content of a computer screen that this month I have another tidbit in that same vein!

Do you have one of those new fangled flat screen monitors? Or a laptop? Here's how to make the text appear less fuzzy and clearer.

  1. Display your Windows desktop (Windows key+ D)
  2. Right click on your desktop (this displays the shortcut menu for the desktop)
  3. Click on Properties (this displays the Display Properties dialog box)
  4. Click on Appearance tab
  5. Click on Effects button
  6. Change ".. smooth edges of screen fonts" to Clear Type (It is currently set to Standard)
  7. Ok the Effects box and Ok the Display Properties dialog box

We spend way too much time staring at our monitors, anyway, so hopefully this will help clear things up a bit.
