(First distributed in August 2005, Title III Tabloid)
Did you know that you can locate an e-mail message that you have "stored" somewhere in your GroupWise account? (You know .. you read the message, you thought you would come back to it, but now you can't find it?). Here's how:
Overview: From your GroupWise Mailbox, choose the Tools menu | Find command
In the resulting Find dialog box, you MUST do 2 things: search your own box and tell Groupwise what you want to search for.
Step by step instructions:
- Make sure your name, on the right, has a check. You can clear any other checks.
- Type a bit of what you are looking for in the Full Text or From/Author search boxes on the left. (I generally start with the last name of the person from whom the e-mail is sent. However, you can change change Full Text to Subject by clicking the words. Similarly, you can change From/Author to To/CC. Changing these, changes what Groupwise searches for). You can leave all of the other check boxes blank if you want.
- To search for more advanced items, click the Advanced find and select them
Once you have indicated what and where you want to look for, click the OK button. This displays a list of all of your e-mail that meets your criteria.
If the e-mail you are looking for is on the list, just double click it to open it. If it isn't on the list, then repeat the Find process.
