Here you will find resources for our WebCT faculty including questions they have asked as they design online and hybrid courses to guide their student's learning. Our answers are here too, of course; they have been categorized based on the applicable WebCT function.

All instructors who teach an online or hybrid class are required to complete 16 hours of instruction on the use of WebCT. Contact Marlene Saunders (704-991-0258 or SaundeM@stanly.edu) for information related to the next class block.

Elluminate and WebCT
Elluminate, is a syncronous learning platform. Hold live review sessions, group project sessions, online office hours or set up a single session for you to record some content for your students. Very PowerPoint friendly and a great way for your students to feel connected.

Respondus - create WebCT quizzes
We have a site-wide license for Respondus which is a tool that helps you create quizzes, tests, and surveys without having to deal with WebCT's often unwieldy quiz tool. Our license allows for our instructors to install a copy on their machines.

Lockdown Browser

We also have a site license for Lockdown Browser for your use in helping to assure fairness in your testing for your online students. The program requires that you use Respondus to designate Lockdown Browser exams (they do NOT have to be rewritten). Your students download a simple plug-in which controls their computing invironment while they take your WebCT tests.
