Farmer, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel and president/owner of Henry E. Farmer, Incorporated. Dr. Michael Taylor, President of Stanly Community College, will be the guest speaker.
All World War II Veterans are invited to attend. For more information, contact Don Carrick at (704) 422-3066 or Donna Jones at Stanly Community College (704) 991-0217.
“It is so appropriate to observe Memorial Day and recognize all veterans who died in war or peace. We will be remembering those who have gone before us and honoring those who remain,” commented Don Carrick, veteran and retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant.
The World War II Veterans would like to remind everyone that when they see an American flag flying in the breeze, they see a great symbol of freedom for a nation honoring those who have died to keep it free.
“We are proud and appreciative for all the veterans of war,” commented SCC President Dr. Michael Taylor. “We feel fortunate to be able to say thank you to the remaining veterans of World War II, and we look forward to a great program for them at SCC,” added Dr. Taylor.
