(December 18, 2007) Stanly Community College’s (SCC) Small Business Center and the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce are accepting nominations for the 2007 Small Business of the Year Award.
The Small Business of the Year Award will be announced at the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce annual meeting, which is scheduled for early spring 2008. Each finalist will be recognized during the evening with one business being selected as the overall Small Business of the Year.
All businesses with 50 or fewer employees are eligible to apply or be nominated. All applicants must be current members of the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce to be eligible. Criteria for judging will be based upon the following: stability and growth, innovation, response to challenge, and community service.
Business owners, employees, customers, or clients are eligible to submit nominations. Business owners are encouraged to submit their applications to the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce or SCC’s Small Business Center. Self-nomination is encouraged.
