(December 7, 2007) Stanly Community College held its annual Katherine Sikes Crutchfield Scholarship Luncheon at the Education Center located at the Stanly Regional Medical Center.
The Katherine Sikes Crutchfield Scholarship Program, more commonly known as “The ROSE Scholarships” provides twenty annual scholarships to prospective female students at Stanly Community College. Priority is given to Stanly County residents majoring in Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees.
“Through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crutchfield and the Crutchfield Family Foundation, these scholarship recipients will enjoy the gift of education for the rest of their lives,” remarked Beth Swanner, Chair, Katherine Sikes Crutchfield Scholarship Program. “The relationship with their mentors is invaluable. The benevolence of Mr. and Mrs. Crutchfield is appreciated by our entire community,” added Ms. Swanner.
