SCC Offers Free GED Fast-track Course

(February 14, 2008) The Adult Literacy Department at Stanly Community College will offer the Fast-track GED course beginning February 29, 2008.  The program is designed to prepare students for their GED in six class sessions. 

The Fast-track classes are held on Fridays from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and are designed especially for adults who do not have a great deal of time to attend school.   With only 18 hours of class time, students can prepare and register for the GED exam. 

Classes for the next session will be held on February 29, March 1, March 7, and March 8, 2008.  Adults who are not currently enrolled in Stanly Community College’s GED program are eligible to attend the Fast-track classes.
