(March 11, 2008) Stanly Community College (SCC) will host its second annual art show on Monday, April 7, through Friday, April 25. The artwork will be displayed inside the Snyder Building at the Learning Resources Center (LRC), located on the Albemarle campus. The show is open to the public for viewing—free of charge.
The exhibit will feature original works of art from Stanly Community College students, faculty, and staff, as well as their immediate family members. The work must be the artist’s original design and completed within the past two years.
Categories include but are not limited to oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, pen and ink, collage, photography, digital art, web design, and animation. There is no entry fee for the show and a variety of monetary awards will be given.
SCC will host an opening reception on Wednesday, April 9, from noon until 2 p.m. at the LRC. Artists along with their families and friends are invited and encouraged to attend. The general public is also invited.
