(September 28, 2007) Stanly Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of a new softball coach, Ben Rogers. Ben, an Oakboro native, started out in law enforcement before becoming a business owner in 1982. Over the last twenty years he has had extensive involvement in fast pitch softball at various age levels.
"He brings the qualities that are crucial to starting a new program," commented SCC Athletic Director Robert Stack. "Ben has the experience, discipline, and patience that will be needed to build a successful program that SCC and the community will be proud of. He will begin work immediately on the work-out programs for the upcoming season," added Stack.
