Information for Military Personnel and Veterans

Stanly Community College welcomes the opportunity to work with a growing number of military veterans and active personnel. Our students include those with prior service, active duty, reservists, and National Guard. We honor your service and want to do our part to insure that your educational experience at Stanly Community College is a rewarding experience.

Academic Transfer Credits

Stanly Community College recognizes and accepts credits from the following:

American Council on Education (ACE)
Prior military training is assessed through ACE as accredited academic credits.

DANTES
Credit by examination for military personnel.

Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC)
Stanly Community College is an SOC member.

Tuition Assistance
Stanly Community College programs are approved for enrollment of persons who are eligible for veterans’ educational benefits. The primary contact person for VA Benefits is the Director of Financial Aid and Veterans’ Affairs at pfields7679@stanly.edu.
