Student Development—Registration

Registering at SCC—just the facts:

Registration dates are listed in the college academic calendar for each semester and are also posted here.
Each individual must officially register for each class he or she plans to attend.
Students enrolled during each semester may preregister for the next semester during the preregistration period listed in the academic calendar.
A student is not eligible for preregistration if he or she has an outstanding balance due the college.

Prior to registering, students are strongly encouraged to consult with the admissions staff if there are any questions concerning admissions requirements for the program of study of interest. Also, contact the program advisor for specific program questions or course information.

New students desiring to apply for a degree, diploma, or certificate program will need to complete an application for admission, request official transcripts to be sent to SCC, and complete the ASSET or COMPASS placement test if required for the specific program of interest. Please refer to step-by-step registration for additional details.
