| Criminal Justice The Criminal Justice Club meets once a month. We invite "real world" guest speakers, such as police officers, state troopers, police detectives, crime-scene techs, wild-life officers, sheriff deputies, K-9 officers, etc., to speak to our club members so the students can determine if they are interested in that particular career. In addition, we try to provide "free lunch" for the club. We also participate in SCA fall and spring activities. In addition, we have an end-of-the-year cookout for our members. |
| Early Childhood Students pursuing an Early Childhood degree at Stanly Community College are encouraged to join the "Early Childhood Club." The club gives the opportunity for all of the programs housed under the Early Childhood umbrella to unify fellowship, promote campus education in the field of education, and participate in campus and community events. Some of the community events and projects students have participated in include Stanly County Special Olympics (fall and spring games), Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, Literacy Kits for Head Start, Stanly County Christian Ministries, Coats for Kids, Pregnancy Resource Center, Butterfly House, and Battered Women's Shelter. Anyone interested in joining may contact Christy Hopkins, Club Advisor, at (704) 991-0316. Meetings vary by semester so look for announcements. |
