The Stanly Community College Career Services Center offers a variety of opportunities for students including career counseling, interest testing, an educational and career information library, computerized guidance software programs, and career planning assistance.

Some of these assessment instruments are:
After taking the inventories, you will meet with a counselor for interpretation. With the counselor, you will have the opportunity to explore career fields and occupations through career development reference guides, college and university catalog CDs, labor market trend information listings, and career guidance software. All this information is located and user friendly in the Career Services Center, Room 116 of the Patterson Building.
The next phase of the Career Path is often to shadow a person working in your field of choice. Whether you are interested in the banking industry, heating and air industry, or the computer industry, the Career Services Center can assist you in seeking the information you need to make an informed decision on the final steps of your Career Path.
Asking questions along the Career Path is a vital aspect of a successful career choice. Please contact the Staff of the Counseling and Career Services Department.
