The Career Center at Stanly Community College offers a variety of career services to current and prospective students including career counseling, interest testing, personality profiles, an educational and career information library, computerized guidance software programs, job referral services, interview skills and resume preparation assistance, and career planning services.
The Counseling Center provides academic, personal, disability, and college transfer counseling services. The Counseling Center assists students in dealing with various issues including time management, anxiety and depression, stress management techniques, and decision-making skills.
The counseling personnel also assist students with assessments and referrals to other local human service agencies, such as the Department of Social Services, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Foundations Behavioral Services, Daymark Recovery Systems, Stanly Community Christian Ministries, Stanly Memorial Hospital Outpatient Behavioral Health Services, the Crisis Council, and the Employment Security Commission.
Articulation agreements with North Carolina senior colleges and universities are revised regularly to provide the most current information for the college transfer students.
