Student ID and Password
Each student is assigned a User ID and a password. The ID is set up as follows:

first initial + last name + last four digits of User ID (all lower case)
Example: arodgers1234

Please note the last four digits of the User ID may be found on your registration form. The last four digits of social security number are no longer used. If you do not know your Student ID, please click the WebAdvisor icon below. You may obtain your Student ID by answering several questions.

The password is set up as follows:

first initial of last name (capitalized) + second letter of last name (lower case) + last four digits of student ID
Example: Ro1234

You must change your password when you first log in. The new password must consist of at least a capital letter, lower case letter, number, and contain six to nine digits.

College-Wide Help Desk
New beginning spring semester is a college-wide Help Desk—a one-stop center where your questions can be directed quickly and efficiently. Ask questions about financial aid, registration, technical support for online classes, and more. Your questions will be answered by Help desk personnel or directed to an appropriate area of the college. You will no longer need to call the switchboard to have your questions answered. Go to the Help Desk first.

WebAdvisor
WebAdvisor is a very important resource available to students. You can view your grades, request a transcript of your grades, check your class schedule, etc. You will also be able to register for classes online through WebAdvisor beginning with the summer semester. Much more will be coming with this new feature.

WebCT
WebCT is the online course management software that you will use when taking your classes online through SCC. Some seated courses also use WebCT. If this is your first time using WebCT, try the WebCT Tutorial to help you learn about the features of this software.

Ed2Go

The Corporate and Professional Education Division offers a series of continuing education classes online through Ed2Go. Select the link for a list of available courses.

Student Email Accounts
All students have an SCC email account. When you click on the link for your email, you will see instructions for setting up your account. This email account will be your primary method of contacting SCC.

Google Apps
Google Apps include tools for communication, document publishing, calendar, and personalized start pages. You will also have the option to add many customized services such as news, weather, and entertainment.
