When and where is the ceremony?

What time is my ceremony?
Ceremonies will be held at Noon, 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

At noon, at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, the following programs will graduate:

  • Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology
  • Biomedical Equipment Technology
  • Computer Engineering Technology
  • Computer Integrated Machining
  • Cosmetology
  • Criminal Justice Technology
  • Cyber Crime Technology
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Electronics Engineering Technology
  • Heavy Equipment Operator
  • Industrial Systems Technology
  • Welding Technology

At 3 p.m., at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, the following programs will graduate:

  • Adult High School
  • Associate Degree Nursing
  • Emergency Medical Services

  • Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Pharmacy Technology
  • Radiography
  • Respiratory

At 6 p.m., at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, the following programs will graduate:

What time do graduates need to arrive?
Graduates need to arrive 45 minutes before their designated ceremony.

Where do graduates need to gather?
Graduates should report to the main lobby at the Agri-Civic Center for further instructions.

What should graduates wear under their robes?
We suggest your wear your Sunday best (no flip-flops, jeans, shorts, tank-tops, etc.).

Do guests need tickets?
No, tickets are not required for your guests to attend the ceremony. However, due to limited seating, we ask that you limit the number of guests invited to five (5) per graduate.

How long does the ceremony typically last?
Each ceremony lasts approximately an hour.

When do I get my certificate, diploma, or degree?
Graduates will receive their official certificate, diploma, or degree via the USPS mail at the address that was provided on the graduation application. We do not hand out the actual degree at the graduation ceremony. When students walk across the stage, they are given an empty cover. Your graduation fee and any other charges or holds on your account must be taken care of before your degree will be mailed.

Advanced Complimentary Photographs for Graduates:
Complimentary photographs will be taken of each graduate with the Interim President of the College on May 5, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Photographs will be taken on the Albemarle Campus at the bridge (between the Kelley building and the Whitley building). Graduates, please be sure to wear your cap and gown. Photographs will be available to download from http://www.stanly.edu after May 19.
