Stanly Community College (SCC) is one of many participating partners planning to host a Community Job Fair on Tuesday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. This event will be held at Stanly County Commons, located at 1000 North First Street in Albemarle, North Carolina. It is free and open to the public!
Representatives attending the Career Fair will include public and private employers at large and small businesses located inside and outside Stanly County. Local businesses include NCWorks Career Center, Stanly County Chamber of Commerce, Stanly County Health Department, Pfeiffer University, Vocational Rehabilitation, Centralina Workforce Development Board, and Resource Development Center, Inc.
"Stanly Community College has become a vital resource to the community for career assistance and workforce development," noted Marcus Pryor, Assistant Dean of Students and Career Placement for SCC. "Programs are strategically planned to provide state-of-the-art training that deliver success in today's workforce."
"The Job Fair is a great opportunity for our students and the general public to learn more about career fields and network with potential employers. We invite anyone seeking employment to come by and visit. Please dress in appropriate business attire and bring plenty of resumes to share with employers," stated Mr. Pryor.
