New SGA Officers Elected at SCC

Every year, new officers are elected to the Student Government Association (SGA) Executive Board at Stanly Community College (SCC). SGA serves as the official student body organization representing the best interest of the students and the College. Additionally, SGA provides opportunities for students to engage in professional development activities and serves as a liaison to the administration of the College. SGA also functions as the coordinating body for all student clubs and organizations.

The newly appointed SGA Officers (serving the 2015-2016 term) include: Kohl Whitlow, SGA President; Kohl is enrolled in the Electronics Engineering Technology program. Chelsea Barber, Vice President; Chelsea is enrolled in the Associate in Arts program and plans to transfer to Western Carolina University next fall. Elizabeth Robinson, Public Information Officer; Elizabeth is enrolled in the Human Services Technology program. Kimberly Ogle, Secretary; Kimberly is a first year Radiography student. Caitlin Pyrek, Treasurer; Caitlin is a first year pre-nursing student.

Our SGA is one of 58 within the North Carolina Community College System and curriculum students are eligible to become members. There is no charge to become a member.
