SCC Commencement Ceremonies Scheduled for May 9

Stanly Community College (SCC) will hold its annual commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 9, at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center in Albemarle. Three separate ceremonies will be held throughout the day to accommodate the graduates who will receive degrees, diplomas, and certificates during this special day. The ceremonies are scheduled for noon, 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

At noon, the following programs will graduate: Associate Degree Nursing, Emergency Medical Science, Medical Assisting (including Summer Graduates), Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy Technology, Radiography Technology, Respiratory Therapy Technology, Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer-Integrated Machining Heavy Equipment Operations, Electronics Engineering Technology, and Welding Technology.

At 3:00 p.m., the following programs will graduate: Accounting, Business Administration, Human Services Technology, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice Technology, Agribusiness Technology, Early Childhood Education, Simulation and Game Development, Advertising and Graphic Design, Cyber Crime Technology, Information Technology Business Support, Information Technology Cybersecurity, and Information Technology Network Management.

At 6:00 p.m., we will be recognizing graduates from our Adult High School, High School Equivalency, Stanly Early College High School, and those earning their Associate in Arts, Associate in Arts-Business and Accounting, and Associate in Science.

The College will also present awards for Academic Excellence; Outstanding Alumni; Annie Ruth Kelley Student Leadership; Dr. George E. Eddins Jr. Award of Distinction in Allied Health Education; Dianne H. Burton Community Service; Edward J. Snyder Jr. Exceptional Scholars; Jerrie Sue Moffitt Morton, and the Shirley Dennis Basic Skills Outstanding Student.
