SCC Schedules Information Meetings for Visit to Ecuador
Albemarle, NC - Join Stanly Community College (SCC) July 16-25, 2018 for a breathtaking tour through Ecuador as we explore and discover its vibrant culture, lush landscape, intricate history, exotic architecture, and diverse heritage. The bold colors, smells, tastes, and sounds of Ecuador make this majestic country a must-see.
This uniquely designed travel tour will include stops in Guayaquil, Cuenca, Riobamba, Punta Ahuano (Amazon,) and Quito. We will visit beautiful colonial cities, explore a cocoa plantation where we will enjoy a chocolate tasting, ride the "Devil's Nose" train, spend two nights at an Amazon Lodge, visit the Middle of the World Monument, and explore impressive waterfalls.
We will also be arranging meetings with local Quechua families along our journey to add to the exclusive learning opportunities provided in a College travel tour. The estimated cost of the trip is $2,550 per person based on double occupancy, if confirmed by September 29, 2017. Except for a few meals, the cost of the trip is all-inclusive. Scholarships for SCC students and fundraising opportunities are available.
