Scholar Dr. Mark West Scheduled to Visit SCC

Scholar Dr. Mark West is scheduled to visit Stanly Community College (SCC) for the Let’s Talk About It lecture series. The series subject is titled The Journey Inward: Women’s Autobiography, a library discussion series that brings scholars, students, and community members together to explore how selected books, films, and poetry illuminate a particular theme.

Scholar Dr. Mark West is scheduled to present the book titled An American Childhood, by Annie Dillard, on October 10, at 6:00 p.m. The session will be held at the Learning Resource Center (library), Snyder Building, Albemarle campus, and is free to attend, but reservations are required as books are limited.

SCC is committed to bringing excellent scholars to campus to interact with students, faculty and staff, and the local community to provide a vibrant educational experience for all.
