Where is the Career and Counseling Center located and when is it open?
We are located in the Patterson Building on the first floor in Room 115. It is open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Are appointments necessary or can I walk-in to see a counselor?
Making an appointment will assure the time and date you would like to be seen, but is not required. You may drop-in to see a counselor any time between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00am and 4:00pm on Fridays.

May I request a certain counselor?
You may request to see a specific counselor if that person is available.

What happens if I need to see someone after regular work hours?
In extenuating circumstances, it is possible to make an appointment after regular office hours. Please call your counselor for specific information. If you are experiencing a crisis and need immediate assistance, call 911.

How can I be sure of confidentiality and ethical guidelines?
Our counselors are bound by the confidentiality and ethics guidelines set forth by the American Counseling Association.

Is there a fee for your services?
Our services are free of charge to future and current students.

Can someone help me decide on a major?
Yes. However, if you are having trouble selecting a major, you may be a candidate for career testing.

What does it mean to be on academic probation?
All students with less than a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) will be on Academic Probation. Those wishing to be reinstated should contact us to develop a plan.
