Searched for colleges/universities offering my major
Selected the best college transfer program at Stanly Community College for my future major (Associate in Arts, Associate in Science)
Met with an academic advisor to create my MAP (My Academic Plan)
Located and reviewed the transfer pathway for my specific major at my future college/university
Contacted my future college/university to ask questions, verify requirements, get general transfer advising assistance, etc.
Followed the transfer pathway for my specific major at my new college/university
Maintained an overall (cumulative) GPA of 2.0 or above
Made C’s or better in all my courses
Checked the application deadline for the time I wish to enter my new 4-year college/university
Applied for admission as a transfer student by the application deadline
Paid any application fee to my new college/university
Had my official SCC transcript sent to my new college/university
Visited my new college/university’s campus, if applicable
