COURSE SUBSTITUTION Rule

Course substitutions are allowed in specific instances. Examples include, but are not limited to, a change in his or her program of study, career or transfer goals, higher level coursework, transfer course equivalencies, or elective selection. Action upon such substitutions must be initiated by the student's success coach or program head/coordinator, who will forward the Request for Course Substitution form to the Dean or Associate Vice President.
A maximum of five (5) courses may be credited for any student through the course substitution method. More than five (5) may be granted with special permission from the Dean or appropriate Associate Vice President. Notification of approval of course substitution must be submitted to the Enrollment Management Office.
