PLACE & DATES OF SHOW: The show will be held on the SCC Albemarle Campus in the Learning Resources Center (LRC), located in the Snyder Building. Show opens Monday, March 20, 2017, and closes Friday, March 24, 2017. The show will be open to the public for viewing during regular LRC hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
ELIGIBILITY: SCC students, faculty, and staff are eligible to participate and may submit up to three entries each. The work must be the artist’s original design and completed within the past two years.
CRITERIA: We request all entries be wired for hanging, since there is limited space for works not prepped to hang. The show committee reserves the right to exclude entries deemed inappropriate, works not properly prepared for display, or works that require special installation or care.
CATEGORIES: Categories include, but are not limited to oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, pen and ink, collage, sculpture, pottery, photography, and digital art.
SALES: Your entry form should indicate a sale price or NFS (Not For Sale). Items sold may be picked up by the purchaser at the end of the show with proof of purchase. Sales will be handled through the individual artist, and SCC will assume no responsibility for payments or sales agreements.
ENTRY FEE: There is no entry fee for this show.
JUDGE: To be determined.

DELIVERY OF ENTRIES: Entries must be hand delivered to the Learning Resources Center (during regular LRC hours) beginning on Monday (3/13/17) through Friday (3/17/17). No entries will be accepted after noon on Friday (3/17/17).
RECEPTION: The reception will be on Tuesday, March 21, from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Artists, their families and friends are encouraged to attend. The general public is invited as well. Awards will be presented at 11:00 a.m.
REMOVAL OF ENTRIES: Removal of entries will be on Friday, March 24, during regular LRC hours. If necessary, works can be picked up the next week. We request that all works remain on display for the duration of the show and be picked up promptly on removal day. Works of art not picked up in a timely manner will be considered a donation to SCC. No liability will be held for these pieces unless previous arrangements are made.
LIABILITY: The sponsors will exercise the best of care in handling all works. However, submission of an entry is at the artist’s own risk and SCC will not be held liable for any loss or damage to any entry while it is in the possession of the school or its agents.
THE MUSE: Stanly Community College publishes an annual Literary and Visual Arts Magazine called, The Muse. Your artwork may be chosen to be included in the magazine.
