TEAS Information

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS®) measures basic essential skills in the academic content area domains of reading, mathematics, science and English and language usage. The test is intended for use with adult nursing and radiography programs applicant populations. Once you have submitted an application with all of the prerequisites fulfilled by the deadline, you will be invited to take the TEAS® test. The objects assessed on ATI TEAS® are those which educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level academic readiness of program applicants.

All individuals preparing to take the TEAS® test must create an ATI account. Time Limit is 209 minutes for 170 total questions. Outside calculators are not allowed for testing. A study guide is available to assist students in preparing for the TEAS® exam. Contact the SCC bookstore for more details.

TEAS® scores over two years old will not be considered during the admission process.  All eligible applicants must take the latest version of the ATI TEAS® for admission purposes.  TEAS® appointments are by invitation only.
