The Stanly Community College (SCC) Virtual Center for Cyber Excellence is geared towards establishing a relationship between our students and the community to provide information about cybersecurity events, resources, and SCC's IT-Cybersecurity program.

Stanly Community College is a National Security Agency (NSA) & Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recognized Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD).

Our goal is to establish community outreach to create awareness of the importance of cybersecurity and form a partnership with the community through government and private sectors. We have established an articulation agreement with Pfeiffer University, Montreat College, & Gardner-Webb University to give our students an option for acquiring a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity.

SCC's IT Cybersecurity staff provides sound education to its students that will enable them to thrive as cybersecurity professionals upon graduation.

In addition to instruction, students are provided with resources about internships, permanent hiring companies and recruitment agencies.
