Explore the rich legacy of SCC's Future Business Leaders of America – Collegiate (FBLA-C), formerly known as "Phi Beta Lambda." With an impressive 20-year streak as a national "Gold Seal Chapter," our SCC students consistently achieve state and national recognition in competitive events.

FBLA-C extends a warm welcome to students across various disciplines, especially those in Business Administration, Accounting, and computer-related programs and those with aspirations in the business sector. All students are encouraged to participate regardless of your academic format – whether seated, online, day, evening, full-time, or part-time.

Our SCC Chapter actively participates in local meetings, spearheads leadership and service projects, and contributes significantly to state activities. It has produced numerous state officers, including seven state presidents and the current Executive Vice President for the 2023-2024 term.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is an integral part of the North Carolina Community College System, comprising 58 associations. As the governing body for all student clubs within the college, SGA's main objective is to provide students with networking opportunities, engage in discussions on local and state issues, act as the voice for the student body, and offer leadership training through workshops.

The SGA President is elected annually in the spring, and the remaining officers join the SGA Executive Board in the fall. These elected officials play a key role in orchestrating various student activities throughout the year and representing SCC at diverse community events.
